Trop

"Dead unicorn" piece at the Betes Off exhibit at the Conciergerie (where Devan and I got interviewed - couldn't remember if I had uploaded this one). It was unfortunately when we stopped so that I could take this very picture that the interview man approached us.

First real snow in Paris! A nice surprise to wake up to. :)

At Les Invalides, an old hospital originally commissioned for veterans and now serving as a museum with exhibits focused on the army and military history.

Les Invalides.

Old newspapers.

Laduree macaron. Not bad (you can't really go wrong with a macaron), but overpriced and not deserving of its reputation in my opinion. PAUL has the best and they're half the price!

L'Arc de Triomphe.

Looking down Les Champs Elysees.

Narrow, steep spiral stairs. What a surprise.

View from the top.

Neuilly-sur-seine. Straight down this road (Avenue Charles de Gaulle) is La Defense, the square-shaped frame.

Sunset in Paris.

If there is one thing that will never cease to amaze me in Paris, it is the Eiffel Tower.

Champs d'Elysees again.

Decathalon - pretty sure this was in New Hampshire when I was young then went out of business...?

Entree at Refuge des Fondus!

The infamous wine in the baby bottle. It still freaks me out a little.

Friends from Madrid!

Cheese fondue on the left, meat on the right.

Lock bridge by Notre Dame (couldn't remember if I had uploaded pictures of this already either). People - mostly tourists - write their names with their loves' names on a lock, lock it to the bridge and throw away they key into the Seine to symbolize their eternal love. The ones with combination locks aren't completely sure of their feelings.

The Seine along Notre Dame.

Valentine's Day and they put a lock on the lock bridge. We gushed.

Berthillon. Unlike Laduree, completely deserving of its reputation of having the best ice cream and 100% worth the price. Even when you go and it is below freezing outside, like when we went.

Saint Sulpice, where part of Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" takes place/ was filmed!

Saint-Sulpice!

Little old lady setting out the flowers.

St. Anne's chapel in Saint Sulpice.

Luxembourg Gardens, beautiful even in the bitter winter cold. I can't wait to come back when it is warm and everything is blooming.

The most adorable little boy.

Frozen fountain.

Sacre-Coeur. One of the most amazing views of Paris, and one of the most beautifully decorated churches. Sadly, you can't take pictures inside of the basilica so I can't share. :( But it's an incentive to go some day. :)

Montmartre, or "Mountain of Martyrs"
